Background
On August 8th, 2025, we received an email from a customer requesting a hydraulic tester. The application was to inspect repaired hydraulic cylinders for any leakage. The largest hydraulic cylinder to be tested features a maximum bore size of 200mm, a maximum stroke of 1700mm, an operating pressure of 250 bar, and a maximum test pressure of 300 bar. The cylinder type specified is double-acting.
Solution —Mobile Test Bench
After receiving the customer’s requirement for hydraulic cylinder leakage testing, we provided a tailored hydraulic tester solution designed for efficient and precise single-cylinder testing.
- Manual Pressure Adjustment:
The test pressure is manually controlled via a relief valve to ensure flexible testing according to cylinder specifications. - Cylinder Movement Control:
Directional valve provides precise extension and retraction of the hydraulic cylinder. - Speed and Position Control:
– Throttle valve allows operators to adjust the cylinder’s movement speed as needed.
– Pilot-operated check valve ensures the cylinder can securely hold at any position during the testing process. - Comprehensive Pressure Monitoring:
The hydraulic station is equipped with three independent pressure gauges for real-time monitoring of:
– System pressure
– Rod end pressure
– Cap end pressure

- Advanced Electrical Controls:
The system integrates an electrical control box and wireless remote, enabling:
– Motor start/stop and emergency stop
– Pump loading/unloading operations
– Cylinder extension and retraction

Project Results:

During the commissioning phase, the system performed stable leak testing for various double-acting hydraulic cylinders, meeting precise control and safety requirements.
